Profit blogs are blogs made for earning on the internet. They can be your main source of income or additional earnings that you can use for anything from supporting your family, to enjoying many benefits if you are still in school to enjoying your dream vacation without worrying about debts, bank facilities or loans. Many bloggers make very respectable money through Google Adsense. Becoming successful at blogging means you have to do some important but basic things

1. Post to your blog regularly:

This advise cannot be overemphasized. In fact, it is the firs commandment of successful blogging. You create posts everyday, every other day, on a weekly basis or even monthly. Just be consistent. If you are deciding to post content daily, you have to overcome the challenge of having something valuable to say. I believe it is an insult to your readers if you they spend time at your site only to find some junk there. So always post something fresh that would really benefit your readers. This depends on how creative your mind is. Also do not because of the pressure on wanting to post everyday, begin to post content outside of the scope of your blog. If you are a sports blogger, you have nothing to do with politics! This leads me to the next item.

2. Focus on your blog niche topics:

A focused man is a man blind to every other thing apart from what he is bent on achieving. Many new and sometimes experienced bloggers often go ultra vires (out of line) in what they blog about. This is often because their major aim is to earn money by blogging. When you fail to focus on your blog content, your readers would immediately notice and this might reduce your traffic once they see that you are no longer adding the value they seek. Remember that you only have a readership because some people value what you have to say. It means they consider you worth “listening to”. Once you lose that status, they leave. It is that simple. As long as your topic remains very attractive to your readers, you can have a lot of traffic on daily basis and then you can be sure of regular earnings.

3. Commune with readers:

Be in constant touch with your readers. Let your blog a communication avenue between you and readers. Make sure you reply to mails of your readers personally – especially when you are just starting out because this creates a unique relation between you and them.

4. Unique and Valuable content:

You are a unique being. No one else is like you. Let this reflect in your posts. Provide unique and useful content for your readers so that hey can keep coming back. Remember that there are hundreds of other blogs competing with you for their attention. Your posts should be so mentally engaging that people would want to go into the future to read them if possible!

5. Learn from the best:

There are some bloggers that have blogs you desire to your blog to be like. Don’t let it end there. Visit their blogs regularly to see what’s new and try to incorporate it to suit you. Don’t copy them. Observe what it is they have done. Process it in your mind by meditating on it and then come up with a way to apply what they did to you own blog. Remember that you are unique.
