Free Internet Marketing Tools for Beginners in 2010
By olusegunMost internet marketers and indeed everyone will rather get something free rather than pay for it. And the good news is that free marketing tools are getting better by the day – thanks to the developers who often make money on the ad slots they provide in and around their website or blog or even on the tools too.
If you’re watching pennies, or just like to get a good bargain from time to time, consider these five free tools for internet marketers that you may need to use in 2010 to draw you closer to earn online:
WordPress – Free Blogging Platform http://www.wordpress.org/
Wordpress is the king of blogging platforms. It comes both as wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Some people still think they have to pay for a WordPress.org blog. Not at all. It’s either that you host a WordPress blog on their dot org site, or install it free on your domain. I’m sure you know that Google loves WordPress if you post relevant content on a regular basis.
CamStudio Software for Video Screen Capture http://www.camstudio.org/
I just got Camtasia because it is the industry standard but it is pricey at $299 especially if you’re just beginning. But fortunately, an open source project called CamStudio that allows you to make an endless number of screen capture videos for free is available!
Audio Flash http://www.audioflash.org
If you combine some free audio recording software at http://www.audioflash.org/ with your version of CamStudio and you can create very professional videos which can help you create interest in your products and services. Cool Huh?
WIX – Free Flash Website Design Tool http://www.wix.com/
Hiring a freelancer to create flash sites can be expensive for a beginner. Enter WIX. Now, you can customize or make your own.
The “price” you have to pay a WIX site is that WIX ads will be placed on your domain – and the domain won’t be your own dot com moniker. However, you can upgrade when you have the money to invest in it, remove their ads and use your own domain.
GIMP for creating graphics http://www.gimp.org
GIMP means GNU Image Manipulation Program. You can use it for free, along with their thorough documentation, to make call to action buttons, minisite graphics, ads and more.
The reality of Photoshop is that most of the time it is very hard for some non-tech savvy folks. And in my humble opinion, when you buy tools like PhotoShop, you want to learn anything possible as fast as you can. With GIMP, you can learn at your pace instead.
MailChimp Free Autoresponder http://www.mailchimp.com
You won’t build a GigaList in a year. Your journey into the world of internet marketing will begin with small steps. This tool is great if you have no list or a very small one to begin with. With MailChimp, you can get an autoresponder for free that stores up to 500 contacts and send out up to 3,000 emails per month.
Open Office http://www.openoffice.org
You can download this free software; use it to create PDF files and free e-content for your blogs and sales pages. It is a good alternative for the Adobe X.0 Professional product range.
These will do for now. If you know any others please post them here. I’m be writing a sequel to this post in the coming days. Cheers.
