First things first, you might want to fix your blog theme to work seamlessly with Opera. It’s next to impossible to comment on your blog with Opera.

Anyway, I’ve also been looking at other ways of generating incomes on my blog but all the ideas I’ve got require 100% attention. That is I’d have to leave my day job or risk having angry customers when I can’t offer a wonderful customer support service due to being hampered by my day job.

What a marvelous post. It’s full of resources for those of us who need to learn more, or just gain a little confidence. I was one of those who originally thought all I needed was a blog, and voila!, money would just fgall from the internet tree into my waiting hands. Now I know better because of wonderfully illumoinating sites like those you mentioned above. Hmmmm. What an interesting text editor. I can’t go back and fix my typos.

Yeah, I quit my Financial Institutions job last day of 2008 and it has been fun and challenging.

we all have to look for other ways of making money apart from just blogging.like you said,it takes time to make decent cash from blogging.
one of the best ways of doing this is SELLING SOMETHING(a product or a service)….top bloggers make money this way…

I quit my job on the 31st of December, 2008 too with a banking group and I’m not doing to badly also.

I currently have a site which earning more than my hosting bill and electric bill. I’m happy with this because the earning is increasing well. And have a believe, soon this blog going to pay me much more than those office going people.

Hi Olusegun!

The common thread among all the names you listed in your article is that they all treat what they do as a business. I believe that if you are going to make money from blogging, you absolutely MUST treat the whole thing as a business.

There’s nothing wrong with blogging for fun, in fact we probably wouldn’t be doing it if it wasn’t fun. But if you want to make money you have to move your attitude away from “hobby” and into a business mindset.
