Is a blog a necessity?
Not if you are not interested in blogging. A blog is born every half second which means two blogs are created every second.
In the past few months, I’ve been learning so much about wordpress blogs and I have a brother that’s so good and builds his own custom themes. I also have been contacted by a few newbie bloggers to help setup a proper blog but they wonder why I advocate wordpress.
So I want to “defend” why I prefer and recommend Wordpress with “20 Reasons Why You Should Choose WordPress” instead of other blogging platforms.
7 Link SEO Tips for Bloggers
Posted by: | CommentsDo you take Link SEO for your blog seriously too?
2 days ago, we looked at using keyword SEO for blogs. Here are 7 Link SEO Tips that will help to improve your site’s ranking in the Search Engine Results.
LINKS
1. Anchor Text of Inbound & Outbound Links
Anchor Text is the word within a hyperlink. For instance, an About page – in which “About” is the anchor text – gives your readers an idea of about the content of the page I’m linking to, more importantly it tells search engines what the page is about. If used wisely, it will boost your rankings in search engines, especially in Google. As a major rule, DO NOT USE “click here” for an anchor text.

16 Steps To Becoming More Effective

1. Figure out what’s most important to you and let go of the rest if you cannot outsource them.
Use the Pareto principle. For instance, out of the ten things that you are to do, which top two will give 80% of the results? We shouldn’t take on everything that comes on our way.
2. Focus on the top 20% you have chosen earlier and they shouldn’t be more than 4.
3. Life is a school. Experience is the teacher. Know that you will goof along the line so be ready to forgive yourself after you do.
4. Learn progressive consistency using daily tasks. It is easier that way. Jump back on track at the next opportunity if you err somewhere.
The Challenges of A Nigerian Blogger
Posted by: | Comments
The Online community is wary of Nigerians. That is a very sad fact and it has had a lot of negative effects on my internet earnings potential.
The latest Internet Complaint Centre’s Annual report for 2008, has rates Nigeria as the number one nation in Africa that is deeply involved in internet fraud, coming third in the global ranking, only after the US and the UK -which were rated first and second.
According to them, Nigerian scammers sent about 7.05% of all fraud mails in 2008, a steady increase from the 5.7% recorded in 2007 and 5.9% in 2006. So far, no report on 2009 has been released.
